Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Oracle (msdaora.dll) and Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle (msorcl32.dll) are built by using Oracle Call Interface (OCI) version 7. To install the ODBC Driver for Oracle on Windows 10: Run the downloaded installer file. Read and accept the license agreement. Select the installation directory for the ODBC driver for Oracle. In the Select Components tab, select which version of the driver to install (64-bit/32-bit).

Issue - The Attunity connectors aren't visible in the SSIS Toolbox

To see the Attunity connectors in the SSIS Toolbox, you always have to install the version of the connectors that targets the same version of SQL Server as the version of SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) installed on your computer. (You may also have earlier versions of the connectors installed.) This requirement is independent of the version of SQL Server that you want to target in your SSIS projects and packages.

For example, if you've installed the latest version of SSDT, you have version 17 of SSDT with a build number that starts with 14. This version of SSDT adds support for SQL Server 2017. To see and use the Attunity connectors in SSIS package development - even if you want to target an earlier version of SQL Server - you also have to install the latest version of the Attunity connectors, version 5.0. This version of the connectors also adds support for SQL Server 2017.

Check the installed version of SSDT in Visual Studio from HelpAbout Microsoft Visual Studio, or in Programs and Features in the Control Panel. Then install the corresponding version of the Attunity connectors from the following table.

Oracle 19c Desktop class database installation does not require additional guide to follow, one needs to enter the details of Installation requirement during Installation process, but for the beginners’ guide is to be followed for flawless installation.

This article describes the detailed installation process of Oracle 19c Desktop class Database system in Windows 10.

Database installation comes with unlocking the built-in schema, the most popular Oracle Schema is HR, which is not discussed in this article. This article is the first step to unlock or install Standard Oracle 19c.

(1/2) Download and Extract to folder

For Oracle 19c desktop class Database installation, we need to extract the downloaded archive to desired local driver in our PC and set-up the database and the set-up process will create environment variables, Database Users, and Oracle Registry.

Download Oracle 19c from Oracle official Website link.

Extract the downloaded zipped archive to WINDOWS.X64_193000_db_home, do not change the name of the folder, otherwise Database set-up process is not started.

Inside the WINDOWS.X64_193000_db_home folder, there must be the setup.exe file.

In my pc the address of the setup.exe file is : D:WINDOWS.X64_193000_db_homesetup.exe

Oracle Driver Download For Windows 10 Version

As previously said, Oracle 19c does not require explicit setting-up. After we have extracted the archive in the local driver this will be the base Oracle software location.

The setup.exe will setup the Database, registry file and the Database User groups in Windows.


For setting up Database, run the setup.exe file as Administrator from D:WINDOWS.X64_193000_db_home folder. It will launch the database set-up screen.

We will setup desktop class Oracle 19c for learning purpose. So the entire Database Installation is only five steps.

Choose Create and configure a single instance instance database

Choose Desktop class in System class options.

In Oracle Home User option choose Use Windows Built-in Account

(4/5) Oracle Typical Installation Config

We have extracted the Oracle Archive in local driver D, so our Oracle base will be in D:appJacobD where JacobD is my Windows User ID.

Oracle will set the Database location to D:appJacobDoradata

I have given my Oracle password as bGwehr534Dfg twice. And do not change any other configuration, keep them as default.
